Cuéntame Storytelling begins a new season on October 4th with our monthly Story Slam, Mexico City’s original storytelling event for true personal stories.

October’s theme is “Faith” in all its forms. Whether it’s a belief that held you steady in tough times, a trust that was challenged, or a hope that shined through the darkness, we want to hear your story.

Theme: “Faith” 🙏🏼

What does faith mean to you? For some, it’s a guiding light in moments of uncertainty. For others, it’s about trusting someone or something against all odds. Faith can be tested, broken, or even unexpectedly restored. This theme invites stories that touch on those pivotal moments when belief, trust, and hope were at the forefront. Interpret the theme freely, and take us on a journey through your personal experiences.

• 🙏 A moment that challenged or renewed your faith.

• 🌟 Taking a leap of faith that worked out – or didn’t!

• 💔 A time when your faith in something or someone was shattered.

• 🔄 How holding onto faith helped you through a difficult time.

Our Story Slam is a welcoming space for everyone – whether you want to take the stage or just sit back and listen. Expect a diverse group of people curious about each other’s lives, coming together to share and connect through the power of storytelling.

Want to Share a Story?

No experience is necessary! We encourage anyone who feels inspired to share. Stories should be true, personal, and connected to the theme of “Faith.” We recommend rehearsing your story to fit within a 5-minute limit. Spots are first come, first served, so make sure to arrive early if you’d like to participate.

What to Expect:

You’ll hear 10 captivating stories, with an intermission to grab a drink, chat with fellow attendees, and reflect on the shared experiences.

🥃 All storytellers receive a free mezcal.

Guidelines for Storytellers:

•Stories must be true and personal.

•Stick to the theme of “Faith” while sharing your unique perspective.

•Perform your story without reading – speak from the heart!

•Avoid philosophical musings, motivational speeches, or stand-up comedy routines. This is about storytelling in its rawest form.
